K Cup Filter – Save Time And Money

I just recently bought one of these home brewers that use the k cups and I was impressed when I found out there was a k cup filter I could use so that I can still have my regular coffee too.

I liked that idea because sometimes I still want my regular or gourmet brand.

Really it is easy to use and economical all in one. It is reusable; which is a great idea since that will save on money and waste. There is really just 3 different pieces to the k cup filter; the cap, the stem and the actual filter. Basically this just fills in for the filter that is built into the actual k cups.

You can use any type of your own regular, gourmet or specialty coffees with the k cup filter. Just making sure to grind them down to the consistency you will enjoy. You can definitely make a blend for anyone’s taste.

When you are using a k cup the brewing time is approximately 1 minute. Well, it is no different when you are using a k cup filter, still approximately 1 minute to a great cup of coffee.

And the cleanup was a snap also. All you do is open the top of the machine, pull the k cup filter out, dump it and rinse it under running water. I was ready to make another k cup in a matter of minutes. The only thing I wish was that I had more than one filter on hand now. I will be getting more and since they are not terribly expensive it is a suggestion for you too.

K Cup Filter Facts

I was impressed to find out that this little filter can fit 2.7 teaspoons of ground coffee and it can be used in other systems as well. Such as the Keurig B30, B40, B60 and B70. So, my k cup filter can be used in mine at home and the one at the office.

I have not put it in the dishwasher as of yet just because I usually just rinse it, but it says it is also dishwasher safe. That is good to maybe run it through every so often to get it real clean.

That fact that I do not have to buy and then throw away coffee filters every single day is great. I save on the amount of actual coffee I use and the paper wasted in those filters. So it is a win-win situation. I get great coffee and help save the environment at the same time with a K Cup Filter.

Enjoy The Green Mountain K Cups Brew

I have been a fan of k cups for some time but I have found that the green mountain k cups have become my favorite.

There are so many that have become my favorite I just decided to tell you a little about the ones I like the most.

The breakfast blend is one of my all time favorite green mountain k cups thus far. It is the classic flavor for them and actually has a citric flavor to it. It sort of tastes like plums, peaches and wine all together in a nice flavored coffee. It is not overpowering with sweetness but yet a real smooth flavor.

Second on my list of favorites from the green mountain k cups is the organic espresso blend. It kind of smells of a sweet woody scent while it is brewing, but the taste is wonderful. There is a hint of dark chocolate with a mild salty after taste. It has definitely an espresso and not a coffee flavor.

Then there is the national wildlife blend that is actually retrieved from the Central and South American coffees actually grown from family-owned farms that raise shade grown coffee beans. This adds to the flavor in these green mountain k cups and you can tell the difference. This coffee actually has a bit of cinnamon, caramel and smoky flavor in the brew.

And lastly the biggest hits this Christmas were the green mountain k cups in two different flavors. Of course the hot chocolate was the big one since it was so cold this season. But besides that we also enjoyed the spicy eggnog k cup.

The spicy eggnog really hit home on the flavor and the scent. Everyone was a fan of it from the first k cup I brewed. It tastes so close to the original taste of eggnog it is hard to remember it is a coffee.

I had about 30 people in and out of my house this year for dinner, gifts and refreshments. And by far my green mountain k cups were a hit. There was always a flavor for every different taste bud. And when one person smelled the aroma they may not have wanted a cup initially but they did then.

So what is a Coffee K Cup?

It is so very wasteful when you are the only person in your household to make a whole pot of coffee for just one person.
